In March 2021, Dudley re-launched restorative practice as a whole system approach for practice and organisational culture. Dudley has again invested in a comprehensive training programme with L30 Relational Systems.

Restorative practice is a key element of Dudley’s ambition to become a child friendly town. Restorative practice forms the foundations of our organisational culture and provides us with a framework for practice with children, young people and their families.

In Dudley, we believe that the application of restorative practice across our range of services will enable us to work collaboratively with families, communities, and our partners to achieve the best possible outcomes for children who live in Dudley.

This training session aims to increase understanding and knowledge of restorative approaches, which will provide us with a range of language, behaviours and tools that will strengthen our relationships with each other, children, young people and families, empowering them to share responsibility by using solution-focused approaches to supports positive change.

The training will take place over 4 days, and there will be half day sessions on each of these 4 days.

This is Phase 1 of the Training, and is open to the MASH, Duty and Assessment Service, Care Management and Court Team, Children in Care and Care Leavers, and CPP.
